Help Oakland Students Tour Historically Black Colleges ~ Nov 2nd – 8th
PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS: Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Norfolk State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Hampton University and Howard University.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 to give the extraordinary opportunity to close to 50 students participate in the Historically Black College Tour through the Southeast, November 2-8, 2015.
We need to tackle the achievement gap for our future. We envision the way to tackle this issue among African Americans is to increase the number of African American students who attend college. To this end, we believe by exposing African American students early to the environments of Black Colleges and Universities we can win.
Early exposure helps them to envision and develop their plan, and most important, it provides them with insight to the admission process, garner scholarships and collegiate atmosphere. This is a chance to give back to the community and give at-risk inner city youth life-changing opportunities. We are of the belief that supporting our kids help to show our kids another way of life.
With a goal to raise $50,000, we need your help.
